Mission Club

Mission Club is an organization at Bishop Guilfoyle whose sole purpose is to identify those in need and to try and respond to those needs. In the fall, the club raises funds, and these funds are later presented to the Bishop in the form of a check at the Thanksgiving Mass. The club's goal is to present a check worth $1,000.00 each year. The Bishop then chooses a charity to which the money will be donated.

Any money raised beyond $1,000.00 is put toward buying Christmas gifts for our Angel Tree recipients. The Angel Tree project begins with a prayer service that involves the entire student body.

All students are given the opportunity to select an angel from the tree and to purchase the corresponding gift. The students then bring the gifts into school where they are wrapped by Mission Club and delivered to Catholic Charities.

Other organizations that have benefited from the Mission Club are Heifer International, Haiti Hurricane Relief, St. Vincent de Paul, Catholic Relief Organization, Gloria Gate's Foundation After School Program, and Birthright.
