Partnering with Parents
We believe that parental involvement is critical to healthy teenage development. As a result, we provide numerous opportunities for parents to become active members of the Bishop Guilfoyle family, and we strongly encourage this interaction.
Open and timely communication with parents is a priority for our staff and administration. With PowerSchool, parents have the ability to monitor their child's academic success in real-time.
We also recently invested in a new text messaging notification system that enables the school to send urgent news to parents, students, faculty and staff via their cell phones.
The notification system is used to communicate potential emergencies, such as a snow delay or closing, homeland security advisory, etc.
The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to all parents, faculty and staff. The service is available to students only during non-school hours.
