Scholarship Programs

One of our goals is to form the next generation of Catholic leaders securely grounded in Christian spirituality, academic proficiency, individuality and social awareness. With this in mind, many students will require financial assistance to achieve their goals for the future. With two-thirds of our students receiving scholarships to offset tuition costs, please consider making a contribution today to one of our scholarship programs.

ANGEL FUND
The Angel Fund is a program created to provide tuition assistance for current students who might have to leave the Catholic school system because of profound financial concerns. Through generous donations, students may continue their Catholic education at Bishop Guilfoyle. It is our hope that all students who would like an education at Bishop Guilfoyle have an opportunity to experience life as a Bishop Guilfoyle student.

NAMED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
This popular program provides $500, $750, or $1,000 tuition assistance to current BG students.   Donors are invited to an annual awards breakfast to meet with the student recipient. The program booklet lists biographies on all Named Scholarships. To establish a Named Scholarship, donors must commit to a minimum of $500 annually for a three-year cycle. Scholarships can be established in your name or in honor or in memory of a loved one. Donors may make special requests on student qualifications, such as parish affiliation or request that a student excel in a specific subject such as math or language. A contributor may not however, request that their gift be awarded to any family member or a specific individual, due to government guidelines regarding charitable gifts.

ADOPT-A-STUDENT
This program was established to allow benefactors the opportunity to provide the full cost of a Bishop Guilfoyle education to a student in profound financial need. Presently the yearly tuition is $5,170. Donors are asked to consider committing to four years. Donors may not select a particular recipient. The Adopt-A-Student Program enables a student to attend BG who might not otherwise have an opportunity to do so.
