THE GUILFOYLE FUND is made up of annual gifts from alumni, parents, parents of alumni, Board of Trustee members, faculty and staff, grandparents, vendors, and friends of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. These unrestricted funds are placed separate from the school's operating budget and are used for:

THE GUILFOYLE FUND is paramount to the overall mission of our school. It serves as a primary avenue for connecting and getting people to partner in our mission. It allows us to identify and cultivate prospects, build relationships that offer long term and sustainable support, and build revenues that can have an immediate impact on student life here at Bishop Guilfoyle.

THE GUILFOYLE FUND is part of the Development Program at Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. The Development Office, along with the assistance of key volunteers on THE GUILFOYLE FUND Leadership Committee, coordinates the internal operations of the effort by organizing all mailings, telephone calls, and communications.

THE GUILFOYLE FUND is run on a fiscal year basis. Solicitations for gifts begin in September. All gifts recorded before June 30, 2011, will be credited during the campaign year. Opportunities to give are made through mailings, telephone calls, internet, and/or personal solicitations.

Over 500 companies across the country will match their employees' gifts to elementary and secondary schools. Many companies will match gifts at a greater than one-to-one ratio. Donors must visit their Personnel Offices to pick up the appropriate form to complete and send to Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School with their gift. The Development Office will handle the communication with the matching gift company in order to receive the matched money. This is an easy and wonderful way to increase your support for Bishop Guilfoyle.

Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School counts company-matching funds as part of the donor gift total. Therefore, if a person makes a $500 gift and receives one-to-one matching funds, our records would record a $1,000 gift.

Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. Your gift to THE GUILFOYLE FUND is tax-deductible.

You may designate your gift towards a specific program or project at Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. However, to best advance the mission of the school, your non-restricted gift allows more flexibility in funding prioritized needs as established by the Principal and Board of Trustees. Your annual gift to the school remains a tangible vote of confidence in the total school program.
