Dear Bishop Guilfoyle Families,
Beginning tomorrow (Thursday), Bishop Guilfoyle will begin offering a Free lunch to each student for every school day. Only “complete meals” are free so it is very important for students to take a “complete meal”. See attachment for information on what makes a free meal. Ala carte and extras will still be charged as usual. We will also be offering meals for students to take home and enjoy on days when they are on virtual learning and weekends. We will provide a full lunch that students can pick up if they will not be in the building the following day – all free of charge! We encourage all families to take advantage of this great program. We will send information on ordering, pickup time, and locations later in the week.
The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced that that they were extending a program which allows Free Lunches to be provided to school students through June 30, 2021. At this time the free meals for all students will only run until June 30, 2020, or until funding runs out, at which time statuses will return to Paid, Free and Reduced rates based on qualifications and applications so please return free and reduced meal applications as soon as possible to avoid any gap in benefits.
