"Whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers and sisters, you do for me." Matthew 25:40
The mission of the Catholic Church is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. This includes being a person who understands and recognizes the action of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in worship celebration, most especially the Eucharist; in the Holy Word of God; and in living in support, love and service to all of creation.
Our school has built a legacy on students using their gifts and talents to answer God's call. It is within this framework that all Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School students are called to be active disciples in the school, parish, local and global communities through our Service Program.
All students are required to complete a minimum 25 hours of community service each academic year, and most students do more. In all, BG students complete about 10,000 hours each year. Students must freely give time and talent, and not accept money.

We strongly encourage students to volunteer in a variety of different areas and organizations. For a sample list of service opportunities, visit the Campus Ministry Office. Students must submit a completed form for each group or facility where the service was performed, and write a reflection. Reflection and service forms for the school year must be submitted to the Campus Ministry Office by Semester 1 Exams. Students not completing their service requirement will be ineligible for extracurricular activities. Questions? Contact Campus Ministry Coordinator Jeanne Thompson at 814-944-4014.
